Goodbye

There comes a time
To say goodbye
I feel violated
Every time I try
To connect with you
I mean
Look at all this shit
You do
Mind games power games money games
Your default is to
Control and manipulate
Noone else to blame
It’s the way you behave
Though you always cry out
Like a victim
Point a finger at someone
And shame them

I don’t know why
I tried so long
To stay connected
When it’s so wrong
The way you act and deny it
In one swift motion
Leaving me
With the twisted notion
That I made it up
And done you wrong
This distortion
Has gone on too long

There comes a time
To say goodbye
